What Math Motion AI is

Math Motion AI answers math and science questions with a step-by-step explanation and an animation, both written by an AI. The AI can make mistakes, so use the answers as a learning aid and check important work yourself. It isn't a substitute for your teacher, and you're responsible for following your school's rules about using AI for homework.

Accounts

You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account. Keep your password private; you're responsible for what happens on your account. Please don't use scripts or bots, share an account, or try to get around the answer limits.

Free answers and the monthly plan

• Everyone gets 1 free answer. Free answers are also limited to 1 a day per internet connection, and to a small number a day across the whole site, so they can run out early. After that you need an account and the monthly plan.
• The monthly plan costs $7.99/month and includes 60 answers per billing month. Unused answers don't carry over to the next month.
• To keep the price low, each month also has a fair-use limit on how much AI work your answers use. Normal questions never come close, but a very long or unusual question can count for more, so the limit can be reached before 60 answers.
• An answer is used when the AI gives you a written explanation. If the animation for a free answer can't be made, that free answer is given back; on the monthly plan it still counts. If the AI fails to answer at all, the answer isn't used.
• The plan renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel any time on your Account page (“Manage subscription or cancel”). You keep your remaining answers until the end of the month you paid for.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• If the price changes, we'll tell you by email before your next renewal.

Refunds

We don't give partial refunds for the rest of a month after you cancel. But if you were charged for a month and haven't used any answers in it, email contact@mathtutortime.com within 7 days of the charge and we'll refund it in full. If something went wrong with your account or billing, contact us and we'll make it right.

Privacy

What we collect and why:

• Your email and password, to run your account. Passwords are stored as a secure hash, never as plain text. We only email you about your account (for example, password resets).
• Your questions are sent to Google's Gemini AI to write the answer. Under the Gemini plan we use, Google may use questions and answers to improve its products, and people at Google may read them, so don't put personal information in your questions. We don't keep your questions ourselves. The animation code is deleted within a day, and videos are deleted after 7 days.
• How many answers you've used, to apply the limits above.
• Your IP address, to stop abuse of the free answers. Daily counters are deleted after a week; our web server logs also contain IP addresses.
• Payment details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. We keep your Stripe customer id and whether your plan is active.
• Cookies: one to keep you signed in, one to count free answers, plus Cloudflare Turnstile (to block bots) and Google Tag Manager (to see how the site is used).

We don't sell your information. To delete your account and its data, email contact@mathtutortime.com from the address on your account. Cancel your plan first if it's active.

The fine print

Math Motion AI is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and accurate, but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 3 months. We may update these terms; if a change matters to paying customers, we'll email you before it takes effect.
